Boost your leadership skills and expand your network as a part of a CREW Tucson Committee—all while making a difference in our mission to advance the success of women in commercial real estate. Committee members learn about the operations of CREW Tucson, connect with other dedicated members, and gain the valuable experience needed for future leadership positions within CREW Tucson.
Committees of CREW Tucson
All CREW Tucson members are encouraged to become involved in the chapter by joining a committee. You are invited to match your interests with the committees described below, and contact the Committee Chair for more information.
The focus of the Membership Committee is to identify and recruit dynamic new members to actively participate in the CREW organization while retaining our current members. The committee also manages the application process, and is a central resource for membership information.
New members are directed to the Member Services Committee for assistance adding their photo and bio to complete their CREWbiz profile, as well as for guidance in joining a committee and connecting with the Committee Chairs. Member Services works closely with the Membership Committee to welcome new members and to help them engage with current members of CREW Tucson.
The Education Committee presents an annual educational seminar held in the fall. The topics are highly informative, and continuing credit hours are available.
The Sponsorship Committee solicits sponsors to support the activities of CREW Tucson. The committee develops relationships with potential sponsors for annual sponsorships and special events.
The Programming Committee develops luncheon programs that offer both informative speakers and networking opportunities and participation.
The Marketing Committee promotes Chapter events and news as well as the individual activities of our members. The committee maintains the website, produces the newsletters and event materials, and coordinates the Chapter’s social media efforts.
Special Events Committee
Throughout the year, the Special Events Committee offers a variety of social events to CREW members and guests, including an annual holiday party and happy hour get-together opportunities.
Community Outreach Committee
The focus of the Community Outreach Committee is to promote the commercial real estate industry and CREW Tucson to the next generation of women leaders. The committee plans and participates in leadership programs and career days for young women of high school and college age who learn about career opportunities in various areas of commercial real estate.
The Awards Committee recognizes members for their achievements in commercial real estate and for their contributions to the chapter. Committee members keep watch for notice of members' achievements and promote them within the chapter and to CREW Network. The committee also looks for opportunities to nominate fellow members for other awards - either through other organizations or CREW Network.
The committee solicits the members for nominations for the annual chapter awards, selects the winners and presents the awards at the annual holiday event. The current chapter awards distributed are as follows (* indicates synchronicity with CREW Network award): Member to Member*, Career Advancement for Women*, Entrepreneurial Spirit*, Economic & Community Improvement* , Chapter Service, New Member, and President’s Award.
The Golf Committee plans and produces our annual golf tournament. The proceeds are used to support Chapter activities. The tournament has become a primary source of revenue for our Chapter.
